The Boomerang Pirate Ship was custom designed and built to U.S. Coast Guard requirements for use on the Potomac River in 2013. Our vessel is certified to carry 90 passengers, and its overall length is 54 feet. Our ship is equipped with all of the latest life-saving equipment, including life jackets, life rings, and ship-to-shore radio. All of our captains hold their 100 ton master's license, and they are the saltiest dogs on the river! Learn to make this traditional New Orleans delicacy! Powell parent and New Orleans native, Mike Henry, will bring all the necessary ingredients to cook up a big pot of delicious chicken andouille sausage gumbo - enough to feed six adults, plus potential leftovers. Mike will do most of the prep work ahead of time, but will explain what he did, plus show you how to make the roux, which is the trickiest part.

Raft trip on the South Fork of the Shenandoah River for 2-4 people

Enjoy the beauty and adventure of the South Fork of the Shenandoah River near Front Royal, Virginia. Beginners are welcome! The float does not involve rapids. The time on the water can be between 2-4 hours and the drive is about 1 hr and 40 minutes each way. The trip is appropriate for kids over three who are comfortable in water. We are going to have a good time making necklaces, bracelets out of used colorful T-shirts. The activity will take place in the school from 4:00-5:00pm on a mutually agreed upon weekday. We will have up to 10 kids. Also we'll have music to sing and dance.You won't want to miss this great time!
